Harlo & Meyer is an evening, lunch and breakfast restaurant located on Gl. Kongevej, with its own bakery, adjacent wine bar and a kitchen that works closely with seasonal ingredients.
The kitchen is led by André Skjødt AndersenIn his menu planning and food preparation, André's access to high quality local ingredients combined with his keen sense of what is simply delicious is the main driving force behind his menu planning and food preparation. André makes the food he likes to eat and serve from the ingredients he can vouch for. He describes his style as "Current Northern European" - that is, relevant and innovative food based on our regional ingredients and a Northern European lightness and accessibility.
André has worked at Michelin-starred restaurants Noma, Frederiksminde and Aloutte, and is now co-owner of Harlo & Meyer, where he is his own man in the kitchen, but can also spar with co-owner Claus Meyer if needed.
While André runs the kitchen, it's Bo Bratlannwho is responsible for wine and other beverages. Bo is a well-known figure in the neighborhood, having been behind the wine counter at Botti Vinbar, which is now part of Harlo & Meyer, for a number of years (or vice versa, Bo might say as a winemaker).
Bo has a long history in the industry, including as service manager at Kadeau and sommelier at Amass, and most recently as co-owner and general manager of Botti. Bo's approach to wine is liberated in a way that can only come with long experience. The wine must of course be of high quality, but in addition, Bo must be able to find a meaning in it, a distinctive feature, something that sets it apart from the crowd and makes it particularly delicious or particularly suitable for a given dish.
Claus Meyer is the co-founder of Harlo & Meyer, owned by Claus together with André, Bo, Meyers A/S and some private investors with local connections and gastronomic commitment.
In addition to eating in the restaurant, you can visit bakery, which also sells baked goods through the coffee shop on Gammel Kongevej. Freshly baked bread, weiner bread and cakes are sold here from 7:00-17:00 every day.
